Someone once asked me to describe what I love about golf in three words. Well, I can’t do that. All I can say is that I love this game for so many reasons that it can’t be put into just three words.

I was first introduced to the game when my cousin PGA Pro Robert Gamez in 1989 took me out to Oak Hills Country Club and I rode around in a golf cart while he was practicing. It was one of the most miserable times of my life. I had never hit a golf shot and did not know what the game was all about. What’s the big deal? Right? I was a baseball player, not a golfer. How hard can this be?

Afterwards, we went to the driving range and hit some balls. Turns out is wasn’t so easy. Talk about frustrating! After 20 or 30 shots, I hit a golf ball so pure that I was hooked for life. You know what I’m talking about. I was reeled in hook, line and sinker. I couldn’t get enough. This is it for me I thought. This is a true passion in my life.

I have been in the golf industry now for 10 years and it just gets better every day. I was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity of a life time to open Golf Exchange with not only a partner but a true friend of mine, Butch McGill. When we opened Golf Exchange we had one thing on our minds. Let’s do it for the love of the game. We wanted a place where anyone could come in and feel at home. Look around, hit some balls, talk shop, whatever you want to do. It’s about the customer not the sell.

Golf Exchange is a reflection of our love of the game and we pride ourselves on making our customers feel welcome and we cater to our customers on a personal level. That’s what it’s all about.

In addition, we offer a full golf club repair shop with a wide variety of grips and shafts and loft and lie adjustments from our professional repair man Robert Hamil. We also take trade ins and consignments at 90% store credit or 75% check. New and used clubs, apparel, shoes and accessories too. We do it all. With over 25 yrs of combined experience, our team is the best and looks forward to you visiting our store.
